Lorax is assisting Veterans Affairs with the LEED ID+C: Commercial Interiors v4 certification of the 11,600 SF clinic. The Veterans Health Administration is the largest integrated health care system in the United States, providing care at 1,245 health care facilities, including 170 VA Medical Centers and 1,065 outpatient sites of care of varying complexity, serving more than 9 million enrolled Veterans each year.

 

East Run Health Center

Scheduled to open in early 2017, the new East Run Health Center will provide local residents with additional options for medical care at a single location. This innovative community health center, developed by The Cherry Cove Group, includes an integrated design that will foster all treatment needs. Upon design and construction of this project, various community studies identified Lexington Park as an underserved area in terms of local healthcare needs. This new health center will help keep the surrounding neighborhoods happy and healthy, while also offering local employment opportunities.

The Towson University Health and Counseling Center project involved the renovation and adaptive reuse of Ward Hall and West Hall at Towson University, and the construction of a new addition to join the two existing buildings. Lorax worked as the LEED construction administrator for Plano-Coudon.

BioResearch Center Health Village will be a state-of-the-art medical office building addition to the Florida Hospital Health Village. The building is set to achieve a LEED Silver certification, and has pursued Enhanced Commissioning to ensure a tightly designed, constructed, and operating HVAC system. The building is expected to complete their design submission in late 2014.
