Sudlersville Middle School

Owner: Queen Anne County Public Schools
Client: Nason Construction
LEED for Schools v2.0 Gold

Sudlerville Middle School was the first LEED certified school for Queen Anne’s County, Maryland. As part of the school’s design, an interactive “LEED Wall” was constructed at the entry of the school, which illustrates the minute by minute energy usage in the school. Queen Anne’s County Public Schools stresses that sustainability does not end with building construction; the building is a catalyst for students to carry practices of conservation into their daily lives as future consumers and energy users. The school has also implemented a learning program, inviting others in to learn about green buildings and energy conservation.
