LEED Feasibility Analysis

We assist the Owner in gathering information necessary to make an informed decision whether it is feasible to pursue LEED certification for any project. Every project is unique and we assess costs, select appropriate LEED versions, assist in team selection, develop a preliminary LEED checklist, and identify available incentives and mandatory requirements. The study allows the Owner or Property Manager to reduce the project risks associated with pursuing LEED certification before key information is known and available.

Green Building and LEED Consulting

Green Building and LEED Consulting – Lorax provides best practices consulting in the areas of site development, energy efficiency, water conservation, material use, waste management, and healthy indoor environments for both new and existing buildings. Drawing from our project experience and our relationships with top practitioners in the field of sustainable design, we provide a depth of support to all disciplines in the design and construction process. Using a team centric approach, the project will achieve a high performance building that balances energy efficiency with occupant comfort, and is constructed with materials and practices that have a lower impact to our natural resources and ecosystems.

LEED Coordination and Administration (all LEED products/versions)

LEED Coordination and Administration – Lorax is a single source to manage the entire LEED certification process and ensure that LEED objectives are set and in line with the overall project objectives. This array of services includes technical assistance to the project team, interpretation of LEED requirements, research, project management, key milestone scheduling and tracking, drafting appropriate plans, creating and uploading documentation and ushering the process through to certification.

LEED Construction Administration Services

In direct support of the Construction Manager and/or General Contractor our services ensure all construction requirements are identified, sub-contractors are provided appropriate training, documentation is collected a collated, and credits are completed successfully before submission for certification. We can customize our scope of work to train construction management teams to enable future self sufficiency, or we can support the entire LEED construction effort, allowing the team to stay focused on the construction related priorities needed to complete the project.

Green Building and LEED Specifications

We will work with the design team to verify that the construction specifications include all construction requirements for LEED; construction management waste and air quality plans, material and installation requirements, expectation of sub-contractors, and standards, and reporting requirements. Careful planning and participation in this area early in the process can significantly save time, minimize the potential for errors and reduce cost by streamlining the process and taking much of the burden of LEED off the construction team.
